Miele Vacuum Repair

Miele vacuum not picking up?
Bring it to Norton or Nantucket.

We service any Miele vacuum at our own facility, wherever you bought it. Drop it off with the $99.95 diagnostic fee, then we quote the repair for your approval before anything is done.

No appointment needed. Plan on three to five days, and call first if you want to check anything before driving over.

Before you come in

Four things worth knowing, so your first trip is your only trip.

  • Norton and Nantucket only. Our Boston, Framingham, Hanover, and Hyannis showrooms do not accept vacuums for service.
  • Miele only, but any Miele. We work on Miele vacuums and no other brand. It does not matter who sold you yours.
  • Drop-off, not while-you-wait. Plan on three to five days, not the same visit. The $99.95 diagnostic is due when you drop it off.
  • Bring the attachments. The hose, wand, and powerhead help us reproduce the problem instead of guessing at it.
  • $99.95 Diagnostic fee, due at drop-off
  • 3-5 Days Typical turnaround
  • 2 Vacuum drop-off locations

Where to go

Two places to drop off a Miele.

We service any Miele vacuum, wherever you bought it. Both locations accept drop-offs, and the work itself happens at our Norton facility where the technicians and the Miele parts inventory are. Miele warranty repairs are the one exception, and are carried out only on vacuums purchased from Yale Appliance.

Our other showrooms do not accept vacuums for service.

Boston, Framingham, Hanover, and Hyannis cannot take a vacuum in for repair. Handling every unit at one facility means we receive your vacuum once rather than moving it between buildings, which is better for turnaround and for the shape it comes back in.

The process

How a Miele vacuum repair works.

Four steps, and you approve the cost of the repair before anyone starts it.

  • 1 Call us first

One call to 617-822-5360 confirms what to bring and answers anything about the diagnostic fee. No appointment is required, but the call prevents a wasted drive.

  • 2 Drop it off

Bring the vacuum and its attachments to Norton or Nantucket during posted hours. The $99.95 diagnostic fee is due when you hand the vacuum over, and we take down the symptoms you have been seeing.

  • 3 We diagnose and quote

A technician finds what has actually failed, then we quote any additional parts and labor and call you for approval. Nothing is repaired until you say yes.

  • 4 Pick it up

Plan on three to five days after drop-off, depending on parts availability. This is not a while-you-wait service. We call you the moment your vacuum is ready.

What you get

Miele service, whoever sold it.

Yale has sold and serviced appliances in Massachusetts since 1923. Miele vacuum repair runs through that same service department, staffed by the same technicians and stocked from the same parts inventory.

  • Any Miele, wherever you bought it

You do not need to have bought your Miele from us. Both locations take in any Miele vacuum for repair. Miele warranty repairs are the exception, and are carried out only on vacuums purchased from Yale Appliance.

  • Our own technicians, not contractors

Vacuum repairs are done by Yale employees at a Yale facility. Nobody subcontracts your machine out, and nobody hands it off between buildings on the way to being fixed.

  • You approve the cost first

The $99.95 diagnostic is paid up front and buys a real answer about what has failed. Parts and labor are quoted separately after that, and nothing is repaired until you approve the number. If it is not worth fixing, say no.

Repair or replace Would a new vacuum make more sense?

Sometimes it does, the diagnostic process exists so the decision rests on a real number instead of a guess. We tell you what the repair would cost, and you are free to decline it and take the vacuum home.

Yale sells Miele vacuums, so the same team can help you whichever way you go.

Signs it might be time

  • The quote comes back close to what a new machine costs.
  • You have had this one repaired before and it has failed again.
  • You would rather put the money toward something newer than keep an older machine going.

Questions

Common questions about Miele vacuum repair.

Can I drop my vacuum off at another Yale showroom?

No. Miele vacuum repairs are handled at two locations only: our Norton facility at 42 Leonard Street and our Nantucket showroom at 5 Bayberry Court. Our Boston, Framingham, Hanover, and Hyannis showrooms do not accept vacuums for service. Bringing a vacuum to one of those four showrooms will not get it repaired, so plan your trip around Norton or Nantucket instead.

Do you service Miele vacuums I bought somewhere else?

Yes. We service any Miele vacuum regardless of where you bought it, at both Norton and Nantucket. Warranty service is the one exception: Miele warranty repairs are carried out only on vacuums purchased from Yale Appliance. If yours came from another retailer we can still repair it, billed as a normal paid repair rather than a warranty claim.

Do you repair other vacuum brands?

No. We service Miele vacuums only. Miele is the vacuum line we sell, and the one our technicians are trained and stocked to work on, so taking in other brands would mean guessing at parts we do not carry. If you have another brand, contact its manufacturer for an authorized service provider near you.

Do you repair vacuums in my home?

No. Miele vacuum repair is a drop-off service rather than an in-home visit. Our technicians diagnose and repair vacuums at the Norton facility, which is why the machine has to come to us. In-home service appointments are for major appliances such as refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and laundry. Bring your vacuum to Norton or Nantucket and we handle it from there.

How much does a Miele vacuum repair cost?

Repairs start with a $99.95 drop-off diagnostic fee, due when you hand the vacuum over. Once a technician has diagnosed it, any additional parts and labor are quoted separately and communicated to you, and the repair is completed only after you approve that quote. What the total comes to depends on what has failed and which parts the fix requires.

Does the $99.95 diagnostic fee come off the repair cost?

No. The $99.95 diagnostic is a separate charge that pays for the diagnosis itself, and it is not credited against the cost of the repair. If you approve the work, parts and labor are billed on top of it. If you decide not to go ahead, the diagnostic fee still covers the technician time spent finding the fault.

How long does a Miele vacuum repair take?

Plan on three to five days after drop-off, depending on parts availability. This is not a while-you-wait service, so do not expect to hand the vacuum over and collect it on the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, the timeline follows the supplier. We call you once your vacuum is ready to collect.

Do I need an appointment to drop off a vacuum?

No appointment is required. You can bring your Miele vacuum in during posted hours at either location. Calling 617-822-5360 first is still worth the minute it takes, because we can confirm what to bring and answer anything about the diagnostic fee before you drive over. That one call is what prevents a wasted trip.

What should I bring with the vacuum?

Bring the vacuum along with its hose, wand, and powerhead, plus any attachment involved in the problem you are seeing. Those parts let a technician reproduce the fault instead of guessing at it, which is often the difference between a diagnosis on the first look and a second round of questions. Bring your receipt if the repair may be warranty work.

Are you adding more vacuum drop-off locations?

Not at this time. Norton and Nantucket are the two locations that accept vacuums for service. Handling the work at Norton is what lets us receive a machine once instead of moving it between buildings, which is better for turnaround time and for the condition your vacuum is in when it comes back. If that changes, this page will say so.

Ready to get your Miele fixed?

Call us, tell us what it is doing, and we will tell you what to bring. Then drop it off in Norton or Nantucket, and we will take it from there.
