Delivery Policy

At Yale Appliance + Lighting, delivery is as important to us as sales. We take being a guest in your home very seriously.

Our Personnel

Every Yale delivery associate must pass a criminal background check (CORI), credit checks and a physical. During the year, they are subject to random, mandatory drug screenings and must participate in a core fitness program. They are rewarded quarterly based on customer satisfaction and the care they take to avoid damage to products and homes. We want solid citizens in your homes, and we want them to be able to perform their tasks.

Delivery

Delivery inside your home and removal of the old unit are standard. We will connect refrigerator lines, electric ranges and washers and dryers (non-stacked units only) to existing plumbing at no extra charge. Dishwashers, wall ovens, over-the-range microwaves, cooktops and gas ranges require more specialized installation; we are happy to provide a quote or referral. We do not charge for any cords needed (a $25 value at other stores). We use only the best equipment, ramps and stair climbers to insure your home is free of marks, scratches and damage.

We deliver appliances only to the areas covered by our trucking and service network. We will ship lighting, plumbing and ventilation to the continental US.

Charges

We charge $79.99 per stop per delivery, cords and removal of the old appliance. One delivery can include as many items as you wish for the same flat fee. For up four different deliveries, we only charge $129, or just $50 more than our one-time fee.

There is an additional fee for deliveries to the 3rd floor or higher. For deliveries to homes with narrow halls or stairways, we will first send a delivery supervisor to ensure the product will fit at no extra charge upon your request.
